Following the resignation of Councilwoman Virginia Parejo, Delran Township has accepted the nomination of Nikki Roberts-Apeadu to fill the Ward 1 seat on Council. While we are sad to say goodbye to Councilwoman Parejo, who has done an incredible job representing her Ward and worked hard to address the needs of her neighbors; we are excited to welcome Councilwoman Apeadu to continue her predecessor’s work!

A Hands on Approach

Nikki came to this country from Liberia when she was 19 years old for a better opportunity. She has volunteered with numerous non-profits that have benefitted from her 25 years of work experience and education in financial services due to keen financial oversight.

Our Community IS her Family

A 17 year resident of Stewart Avenue, Nikki knows first-hand the work that needs to be done to address the issues impacting Ward 1, and specifically the Riverside Park section of Delran.

While a stay-at-home mom in the early 2000s; Roberts-Apeadu continued to roll up her sleeves and volunteer throughout the community; working to bring the true family values of integrity, hard work, caring, and respect for others that her grandparents instilled in her as a child.

Delran Stronger than Ever!

Now, as a Councilwoman she’s using her background in economics to serve Ward 1 residents in finishing what Councilwoman Parejo started; paving roads, engaging with the Army Corp of Engineers, and addressing the needs of her neighbors in Riverside Park; while keeping taxes stable.
