Veteran Outreach

Navigating veteran resources throughout the county and state is a daunting task for many of our servicemen and women and their families. Councilman Lynn Jeney has served as Township Council Liaison for Veteran Affairs, and due to his hard work and dedication to our Delran family members who have given so much in service to their country, we have continued to expand our outreach in a variety of ways.

In 2022, Delran Township joined the State of New Jersey’s We Value Our Veterans Program. This program allows us to honor the sacrifices, patriotism, and bravery through a variety of initiatives.

Additionally, we have expanded the communication of vital veteran resource information on the township website, created preferential veteran parking at the municipal building, hosted a Veteran Appreciation Ceremony and Dinner, and recognized by monthly proclamation veterans who went above and beyond in their call of duty.

Additionally, at the Senior Expo on September 16th, veterans can have their DD214 scanned for free by the County Clerk’s office to have a certified digital copy on file for situations where the DD214 is lost or damaged. This is a critical item required for veterans to apply for and receive services at every level of government, including when they apply for tax relief when they are disabled.

Because of Mayor Catrambone and Councilman Jeney’s hard work; we have provided assistance and guidance to many veterans who frankly just needed someone to point them in the right direction.

We look forward to continuing to work closely with our county and state officials to expand our veteran services and outreach.
